Barbara beginning wheelchair desensitization

Barbara

Andalusian

Foaled November 2005

Barbara came to Camelot in February 2011 to begin her training for a career as a therapy horse and is off to a great start. We are confident she is going to pass all tests with flying colors.

Barbara is kind, sweet, and gentle in spirit, and has already designated herself as “Camelot Greeter” when people enter the barn. Her former owner says: “I hope that Barbara brings you, your facility, and your students great joy! She has the temperament and nobility to help each over their hurdles!”

Barbara’s journey to Camelot has been a long one—she was foaled in Barcelona, Spain, at the Can Maynou stud farm. She is registered as “Barbara Maynou” with the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse. Her dark grey coat will lighten as she grows up, and she will probably eventually appear to be white. Her mane and forelock are currently cut short, following the tradition of Andalusian mares, but they will be allowed to grow out. Some day, she may rival Cayanna in the flowing locks department!
