How You Can Help
Camelot has offered its services at no charge to children and adults with disabilities
since Eileen Szychowski saw her dream become a reality in 1980.
Our program exists solely on the support of people like you, who care about making
a difference and know how profoundly horses can change lives. With your involvement,
we look forward to a bright future of slaying the dragons of “I can’t”,
one ride at a time. Please read on to learn the different ways that you can help.
Financial Contributions
Camelot’s funding comes solely from private donations, grants, corporate sponsorships,
service clubs, and fundraising events. We receive no government funding. All funds
are retained locally and all donations are tax-deductible according to IRS regulations
relating to 501(c)(3) organizations. Please see our donations
page for more information, or simply click on the “Donate” button
on any page in our web site to help.
Volunteering
All the money in the world couldn’t maintain Camelot’s success without
the dedicated involvement of the right people. Do you have what it takes to be a
Camelot volunteer? Visit our volunteers page and find
out. It could very well be the most personally rewarding decision you’ll ever
make.
Fundraising Events
Throughout the lesson season, Camelot hosts several fundraising events, including
educational clinics related to horsemanship. Please visit our
event calendar to learn what’s coming up. You can support a great cause
while enjoying yourself—what more could you ask for?
Goods and Services
We hold raffles and auctions in conjunction with some of our events, so donations
of goods and services suitable for raffling and auctioning are always welcome. We
can also use gift certificates from local tack stores like
The Pampered Horse & Rider, Greenway
Saddlery, and Tack Et Cetera, as well
as Ace Hardware and
The Home Depot.
I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.
